
Mike Dichov will join the Ring of Honor after a short, but impressive career at The Rock where he established himself as a dominant scorer.
Dichov played under Egli from 1973-74 and was a key component on The Rock's 1974 Pennsylvania State Championship team. In two years, he helped SRU tally 28 victories. Dichov registered 37 points on 18 goals and one assist in his career and was the recipient of Egli's No. 1 Award for his performance in the 1974 season.
After graduating from SRU in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, Dichov played semi-professional soccer for the Washington Sports Club from 1975-1982. He also would embark in a career in education and coaching.
He began teaching at the junior high school and middle school level from 1976-1977. While educating, he became a Metropolitan Washington Soccer Referee in 1975 and was later a United States Soccer Federation licensed coach in 1979.
Along with teaching and coaching, Dichov continued his education earning his master's degree in health and physical education from the University of Maryland in 1992.
Later, after a brief stretch teaching at the elementary school level, Dichov began teaching at high schools. From 1997-2000 he taught at Richard Montgomery High School and was also the schools athletic director during that span. From 2000 to 2010, Dichov taught at Winston Churchill High School until his retirement.
Dichov and his wife Cecily reside in Monaca, Pennsylvania.
