Jeff Buirge was a member of the Slippery Rock men's soccer program from 1977 to 1979.
In three seasons, he played under Egli and helped lead The Rock to 27 wins. Buirge was a three-year starter, an All-Pennsylvania Conference selection in 1978 and team captain in 1979. He was the team's leading point scorer in 1979 with 22 points on 10 goals and two assists.
After a successful stretch at The Rock, Buirge embarked on a career in sales, becoming the District Sales Manager for the C. Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA).
Buirge currently resides in Pittsburgh. He and his wife, Barb, have three children: Olivia, Abigail and Sam.
