Bill Ringler

25409

Bill Ringler helped lead Slippery Rock to 42 wins over his four-year collegiate career which started in 1977 and concluded in 1980. The 42 wins represent the 15th highest victory total in a four-year span over SRU’s 83-year history.

As a senior in 1980, Ringler was an All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honoree for a Jim Egli led team that went 15-4-0, which at the time was the second highest single-season victory total in program history.

Ringler played in 40 games at Slippery Rock over four years. He scored a career-high three goals as a senior.

Soccer remained a large part of Ringler’s life after graduating from Slippery Rock in 1980. He played in various local indoor leagues in Delaware from 1981-2007 and competed on the Delaware Senior Olympic team in 2008 and 2009. Ringler also competed on the Slippery Rock Alumni Team in 2011, 2012 and 2013 at the Keystone Indoor Tournament.

In addition to his participation in soccer, Ringler has also become an avid mountain bike racer since leaving Slippery Rock.

Ringler and his wife, Sherry, reside in Newark, Delaware and have two children, William and Samantha.
