After the longest winter break in PSAC history, Rock Baseball has worked exceptionally hard to get ready for the season opener next weekend in Chillicothe. With the addition of new staff, Rock hardballers have been working extremely hard in the weight room, fieldhouse, and auxillary baseball facility at Jack Critchfield Park. During the six-week winter break, players followed their off-season schedule and came back to SRU roaring to go.
The 2013 season looks bright and full of optimism from both coaches and players. With a strong nucleus of returning players and new recruits, SRU looks to contend in the very strong PSAC and Atlantic Region. We will be tested early with weekend series in Chillicothe, Ohio; Richmond, Va. and Shippensburg before leaving for Winter Haven, Fla.
While in Florida, Rock hardballers will play a seven- game slate including Dartmouth College, 2012 Division II national champion West Chester and Central Region powerhouse Wayne State of Michigan.
