Ryan Gillespie is a 1995 graduate of SRU and a 1990 graduate of Pennridge High School in Philadelphia, PA.
He also received his Masters Degree from SRU in 2002. Ryan played men’s varsity soccer from 1990 to 1993 and was voted Team Captain in 1992 and 1993.
Other Accomplishments of his include being selected three times as Regional All-American and three times as All-PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference).
In 1994, he served as the Assistant SRU Women’s Soccer Coach and in 1995 he was the Assistant for both the Men’s and Women’s Team.
Ryan also furthered his playing abilities and is an accomplished Beach Soccer player. He played in the 2002 and 2003 North American Sand Soccer Championship, on the U.S. National Beach Soccer Team from 2004-06, in the FIFA Beach Soccer Qualifier in Rio de Janeiro in 2005, and the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in 2005.
Ryan is currently employed as a corporate wellness manager in Wilmington N.C.
