Men’s Basketball Blog – Part 6
November 6, 2012 is Election Day! We will be practicing at 7:30 p.m. today to provide all of our men’s basketball student-athletes and coaches with a more convenient opportunity to cast their vote. Everyone has a busy schedule, but we have emphasized to our players the importance of voting today. Our usual practice time of 3:30 p.m. is in the middle of the day, which would make it more difficult for our student-athletes to vote. It is now up to the individual players and coaches to decide on whether they want to vote or not and for whom they will vote for. Every vote counts.
This will be a busy week for our team as we play at the University of Michigan at 8:30 p.m. Friday! Michigan is currently the #5-ranked team in the country. Friday’s game will be their season opener and our last exhibition game of 2012-13. This is arguably the biggest day in Slippery Rock University history. The exposure of playing a top-5 team and one of the most prestigious academic schools in the country is fantastic for our university, students and alumni. We want to thank the University of Michigan’s basketball coaches for this tremendous opportunity!
Go Rock!
