Chilly in Chillicothe:
We just finished our first weekend of competition with great success. After a month of practicing inside
we travelled to Chillicothe, Ohio to a play a four -game slate at legendary Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Despite frigid weather, our team played solid baseball against a tough St. Joseph's (Indiana) squad and scrappy
Tiffin (Ohio) team and came away with a 4-0 record.
As a team, we need improvement defensively, and a better strikeout to walk ratio, both offensively and defensively. But with the character and drive demonstrated last weekend SRU should be a strong competitor in the PSAC this spring.
Last weekend was a great start to the season and we look forward to a challenging series this
upcoming weekend against PSAC foe Shippensburg University. Hopefully, the two early weekends
will get us battle tested for a very competitive schedule in Florida.
