Happy Holidays ROCK Women’s Basketball Fans!
This is my absolute favorite time of year with the HOLIDAY season and the BASKETBALL season upon us!
As a team, we’ve grown a tremendous amount in the past two months and ended on a very positive note as we head into our holiday break. We hosted and beat Notre Dame College on December 11 to tally our first victory of the season.
We’ve had various players put forth fine performances in our first seven games and typically we do not focus on individual accomplishments since we must work together as a team to earn our victories, but I do need to mention that junior Danielle Smith was named to the All-Tournament Team for her performance in the Merrimack Tournament. Additionally, Danielle was named PSAC-West Player of the Week for her performances against Pitt-Johnstown and Notre Dame College the week of December 5.
This week has been filled with lots of studying, project preparations and final exams! Today is the final day for exams and we also had our last practice before Christmas early this morning. All of our players and the coaching staff will spend time with family and loved ones in the next week as we celebrate the holidays.
