HOW THEY GOT HERE
Slippery Rock enters the PSAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed out of the PSAC West on the heels of a near perfect regular season in which it went 12-3 overall, 12-2 against Division II competition and 5-1 inside the PSAC West. SRU comes into the conference tournament on a hot streak as The Rock has won four of their last five matches – three of which coming in shutout fashion. Slippery Rock a flawless 3-0 in matches at the SRU Tennis Courts this year.

West Chester concluded the regular season at 9-9 overall and with a 3-2 mark in PSAC East matches to earn the third seed in the division. The Golden Rams snapped a five-match losing streak via a 7-0 victory over Kutztown in its regular season finale.

PSAC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Slippery Rock will be making its eighth consecutive trip to the PSAC Tournament. SRU has won three PSAC championships all-time with league titles coming in 1980, 1981 and 2003.

SRU has advanced to the conference championships finals in five of the last six seasons the event has been held with its most recent trip to final match coming a year ago in a 4-3 loss to Indiana (Pa.).

After missing the PSAC Tournament for the first time in 11 years a season ago, West Chester returns to the conference tournament in search of its first PSAC crown since 1982.

Monday's match marks just second PSAC Tournament bout between The Rock and Golden Rams, with the first being a 4-0 SRU victory in the 2023 PSAC Tournament semifinals.

A LOOK AT THE ATLANTIC REGION RANKINGS
• Slippery Rock was slotted second in the most recent set of Atlantic Region rankings released last week. IUP was positioned first in the rankings followed by The Rock, Charleston, Fairmont State, West Virginia Wesleyan, Frostburg State, Shaw, East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg.

• Conference Tournament champions from the PSAC, Mountain East Conference and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association as well as the next four highest ranked teams in the region at the end of year qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

• The NCAA will unveil the complete 48-team tournament field 8:30 p.m. May 4 on NCAA.com.

• No stranger to the postseason, Slippery Rock has qualified for the NCAA Tournament 22 times dating back to the 1995-96 season. More recently, SRU won its regional and made a run to the Round of 16 in the 2025 NCAA Tournament for what was the program's seventh consecutive national tournament berth.

• While Slippery Rock is a near lock to qualify for the NCAA Tournament no matter the outcomes in the PSAC Tournament either as conference champions or with an at-large bid, West Chester likely needs to win the conference tournament and secure the league's automatic bid.

• The full set of NCAA regional rankings can be found HERE.

PRESSURE PLAYERS
With no freshmen in its standard lineup, Slippery Rock has a wealth of postseason experience up and down its roster. Five members of SRU's 2026 roster have competed in – and won – singles matches in the postseason already in their careers during either conference tournament or NCAA Tournament competition.
