SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team continues its season long four-match homestand this week when it hosts Clarion 4 p.m. Tuesday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division competition followed by a key Atlantic Region bout 12 p.m. Saturday against 40th-ranked University of Charleston.

UPDATE (4/2)
Due to anticipated inclement weather in the Slippery Rock area, Saturday's match between the SRU women's tennis team and No. 40 Charleston has been moved indoors to the Glen Creek Tennis Club with a 4:30 p.m. start time.

WARRIER FAMILY PARAMESWAR KRISHNAKUMAR SCHOLARSHIP
Slippery Rock is proud to announce the fourth annual Warrier Family Parameswar Krishnakumar Tennis Scholarship recipient. Presented in honor of Parameswar "KK" Krishnakumar, a former Slippery Rock professor and supporter of women's tennis.
 
This year's honorees are freshman Alissia Kivi.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
• Amaia Balaguer Brau has posted three consecutive victories out of The Rock's No. 1 singles flight to improve the record of the 26th-ranked singles athlete in Division II to 16-8.
 
• Nicole Kempton also earned a singles victory in the IUP match, pushing her personal mark to 11-8 overall and 6-3 from the third flight.
 
• Alissia Kivi continues to enjoy a strong rookie campaign as she makes a run at earning PSAC West Freshman of the Year accolades thanks in no small part to 13-7 singles record that includes a 6-3 showing from the second flight.
 
• Dari Sakhanova is 6-6 in dual matches – including a 5-4 record from the fifth flight – that coincides with a 12-8 overall record in 2024-25.
 
• Tina Slovak possesses a winning dual match record of 6-5 with four of the victories happening in the fourth flight. Overall, she is 7-8.
 
• Georgie Lancaster also has seven wins this year including four sixth-flight triumphs.
 
• Fresh off a win over IUP's top doubles team that entered the bout as the 19th-ranked team in D2, Kempton and Kivi are now 18-5 overall and 8-3 out of the first doubles flight.
