CLARION, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team cruised to its second straight 6-0 win, defeating Clarion on the road Saturday.
Sydney Patrick broke SRU's all-time assists record in the offensive clinic, reaching a career total of 28.

The Rock improve to 3-2-2 overall with a 3-1-1 record in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division. The Golden Eagles suffered their sixth straight loss, falling to 1-6 on the year and 0-5 in the PSAC West.

Coming into the weekend with 26 career assists, Patrick needed just one to break the school record but left Clarion with 28, surpassing Ashley Paganie for the all-time lead.

Fresh off a 6-0 win at Edinboro, Slippery Rock's week marks its largest points differential in two games since defeating Pitt-Johnstown, 10-0, and Gannon University, 3-0, in back-to-back outings in 2014.

Bailey McGee led Slippery Rock on the day with six points on two goals (10', 54') and two assists, while
Morgan Sarver netted a brace as well with goals coming in the 64
th and 81
st minutes.

Maddie DeLucio ended the day with four points on one goal (90') and two assists, with SRU's scoring rounded out by
Skylar Munnikhuysen (50').
Sophia Palermo tacked on two assists, as
Ava Balazentis and
Olivia Yoder each earned an assist as well. Patrick was the eighth different points scorer on the day with her two record-breaking assists.

In addition to the wealth of points, Slippery Rock took the second-most shots in a single game in program history by outshooting the Golden Eagles, 39-6. Sarver led the crew by putting five of her nine looks on net, while McGee and
Libby Zacharyasz both fired six shots through the afternoon.

Palermo landed three of her four shots on goal, adding to an offensive outpouring that also saw DeLucio, Patrick and Yoder take three shots.
Lindsey Price recorded a pair of shots in nine minutes, while three players took one shot: Balazentis, Munnikhuysen and
Jaime Dermotta.

Leah Allman only needed to make one save in order to earn her second straight shutout, facing half a dozen shots.

Despite a 21-1 difference in shots, Slippery Rock only held a 1-0 lead at halftime with its goal coming from a 10
th-minute strike from McGee on a rebound from DeLucio's shot.

Munnikhuysen scored on her lone shot of the game, giving SRU a 2-0 lead 4:43 into the second half. That was the goal that Patrick notched her 27
th career assist in, etching herself into the Slippery Rock record books. McGee also got an assist on that play, sending a quick pass from Patrick up to Munnikhuysen.

McGee's strong performance continued just 3:26 later, scoring on a goal assisted by DeLucio and Yoder in the 54
th minute. That 3-0 lead became a 4-0 difference when Sarver fired a deep-range look past Clarion's keeper in the 64
th minute.

Sarver joined McGee with two goals in the game in the 81
st minute with help from a Balazentis assist, boosting Slippery Rock to a 5-0 lead.

The Rock made one last statement to get to a 6-0 win when DeLucio put one in the net with 22 seconds left in the game. Patrick joined Palermo in assisting the final goal to bring SRU to 10 assists on the day – good enough to rank second all-time in The Rock's single-game record book.

In addition to the six-goal win, The Rock came away with advantages in shots (39-6), shots on goal (21-1) and corner kicks (10-1).

Clarion was led by Ciara DiMauro with two shots. Sage Sherk made 15 saves in net, tending the Golden Eagles' goal for all 90 minutes.

Slippery Rock will open a three-game homestand 4 p.m. Oct. 2 when it hosts the No. 2 Gannon Golden Knights at James Egli Field.
