SRU outscored Seton Hill 13-12 in the second quarter to mount a 28-27 lead at halftime thanks in part to 7-of-7 shooting at the free throw line. Atkins, Moye and Hallie Raabe all added buckets at the foul line in the second quarter to give SRU the intermission advantage.

While Atkins drained a 3-pointer to kick off the third quarter, the 31-27 lead that she helped craft was the SRU's largest of the day. The Griffins used up the next 5:40 of the quarter to go on a 19-0 run, surpassing SRU with a 46-31 lead.

While Venick snapped Slippery Rock's scoreless drought by converting an and-1 play, Seton Hill closed out the third quarter with a 54-34 lead. The final period was level at 18-18, as SRU was unable to catch back up to the margin that the Griffins had created with a 72-52 final score.

SRU shot 17-of-48 (.354) on the day, going 4-of-15 (.267) from 3-point distance.
