The Rock would continue to hold an advantage throughout the first half, outshooting the Raiders, 8-4. Slippery Rock also led in corners by the half, 4-2, due in part to Shippensburg falling shorthanded to a 32nd minute red card.

SRU would hold its lead until the 69th minute when a bobbled corner taken by Shippensburg's Ashton Davies wound up in the back of the net.

Slippery Rock would only get two more shots in the final 20 minutes of the match, settling for the 1-1 draw.
