BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University field hockey team's comeback bid fell just short in a 2-1 season-ending loss at Bloomsburg University Saturday.

Colliver, Erin Roland and Gianna Conti joined Christman with one shot on goal each as well.

Goalkeeper Grace Burker kept SRU in the game with 11 saves over 60 minutes of playing time. Burker stopped 137 shots in 2022, the seventh most in program single-season history.

Trailing 1-0 midway through the second quarter, Slippery Rock pulled even with the Huskies at 1-1 in the 24th minute when Christman collected the ball off a blocked shot and proceeded to sneak an attempt past BU goalie Abby Shaffer to send the game into halftime tied at 1-1.

The contest remained tied through the opening seven minutes of the third quarter until Aydan McFarland scored an unassisted goal to put the Huskies back on top 2-1 with 23 minutes remaining in regulation.

SRU was able to record two more shots following McFarland's score, but a Roland attempt was blocked in the 39th minute and Conti's attempt at 54:53 was saved as Bloomsburg hung on for the eventual one-goal win.
