SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University women's basketball team lost a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division contest at home to No. 8 Indiana University (Pa.), 81-39, Wednesday night at Morrow Field House.

Slippery Rock (3-11, 1-7) trailed the nationally ranked Crimson Hawks (13-1, 8-0 PSAC) by just four points through the game's opening four minutes before IUP pulled away with a decisive 14-0 run to end the quarter. Indiana's lead was not tested for the remainder of the game en route to its road victory.

Brooke Hinderliter led all Rock players with a team-high 13 points to go with four rebounds, one steal and one block. Hinderliter's double-digit scoring night moved her past Jackie Altenweg (1998-02) for fifth place in program history for points in a career with 1,460. She is now two points shy of surpassing Shelbey Wardman (1998-02) for fourth place.

LeeAnn Gibson added five points and five rebounds while
Brittany Andrews came off the bench to supply SRU with five points and four rebounds as well.
Madison Johnson was The Rock's fourth-leading scorer at four points.

Karington Ketterer matched Gibson for the team-lead in rebounds with five to go with one block.
Carol Weber added two points and three rebounds, Deaja Quick scored three points while the trio of
Olivia Fusaro,
Kasch Harris and
Caroline Gibson collected one steal apiece to round out The Rock's top performers.

As a team, SRU shot 24.5 percent (13-for-53) from the field overall and 50 percent (10-for-20) at the free throw line. Slippery Rock forced IUP into 13 turnovers while committing 15 miscues of its own.

Indiana ended the contest shooting 42.6 percent (29-for-68) from the field and 66.7 percent (12-for-18) from the foul line. 11 of IUP's 29 made field goals were 3-point attempts. IUP also held a 54-33 advantage over The Rock in rebounds. Lexi Griggs scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds, made three steals and blocked two shots to lead IUP.
