SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team wrapped up its regular season schedule with a 7-0 victory against California University (Pa.) on Wednesday at the SRU Tennis Courts.

The win improves The Rock's record to 15-7 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division. SRU finishes the regular season with a perfect conference record for the first time since 2003. The Vulcans drop to 5-9 overall and 1-4 in league contests following the loss.

Slippery Rock recorded consecutive 6-1 victories in all three doubles flights to earn the first point of the match.

Lois Page and
Viola Lugmayr continued their dominant season with a victory in the first flight over Jo Weisen and Emily Suckling followed by a win in the third flight by
Allie Welch and
Lauren Fadden against Elizabeth Wohar and McKenzie Wilson.

With the team doubles point already clinched,
Olivia Warner and
Lacey Cohen sent The Rock into the singles portion of Wednesday's match with even more momentum as the duo bested Charlie Gallagher and Carolin Ganahl.

With Wednesday's wins, Lugmayr and Page are now 18-7 as a team this year. Cohen and Warner are also an above average 14-6.

Welch opened singles play with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 triumph out of the sixth flight over Alexa Uhlyar. Slippery Rock went on to seal the team victory with wins out of the first and fifth flights by Cohen and Fadden.

Page continued SRU's big day by besting Gallagher 6-1, 6-0 out of the third flight with Warner following Page's efforts with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Wohar. Lugmayr closed the day by defeating Canahl out of the second slot 6-1, 6-1.

SRU will enter the postseason with every member of its 2018-19 roster having a winning percentage of at least .500. Warner is 19-9 followed by Page (18-11), Cohen (16-13), Fadden (15-7), Lugmayr (15-11), Welch (11-11) and Varckette (6-3).

Cohen, who has won five straight matches, has recorded 97 career victories. With three more victories she will become just the 11th person in program history to compile at least 100 career wins.

Slippery Rock earned a bye in the first round of next week's PSAC Tournament by virtue of finishing the regular season with the best record in the Western Division. SRU will now meet either Bloomsburg University or Millersville University in the PSAC Tournament semifinals 4 p.m. May 3. Â
