GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team played No. 25 Seton Hill University to a 0-0 draw Wednesday afternoon in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. SRU goalkeeper
Matt Hunsberger recorded seven saves in net in the contest.
Neither team could take control in either the first or second period of regulation. However, both teams had their chances.
At 26:51, Seton Hill's Alex Dysen fired a shot on target, but Hunsberger made a solid save.
The Rock almost took the lead in the 42nd minute when
Cory Olix played a shot into the box off a corner kick and
Dan Schearer fired a header, but it went wide, and both teams entered halftime scoreless.
In the second period, SRU recorded a shot on goal in the 62nd minute when Vilchek fired one that was saved by SHU goalkeeper, Austin Iddon. The goal would have given The Rock a 1-0 lead.
Nearing the end of the second half, Seton Hill almost took a late lead in the 86th minute when Henrik Berg sent one at net, but it was blocked.
The game remained scoreless after both overtimes as well with neither team gaining ground and the contest ended in a draw, 0-0.

GAME NOTES
- Slippery Rock's draw Wednesday was its second of the season.
- Hunsberger registered his third shutout this season in net for SRU and it was also his third game with at least seven saves.
- SRU was held scoreless in a contest for the fourth time this year and second time in two games.
- Wednesday's tie was the first time since Oct. 29, 2011 against No. 23 West Virginia Wesleyan that SRU played a ranked opponent to a draw.
