SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Spurred on by a near perfect performance from
Jared Armstrong, the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team defeated Carlow University 108-70 Wednesday at Morrow Field House.

Julius Palmer threw down several authoritative dunks on the way to an eight-point, six-rebound, four-block night.
Â
Will Bounds came off the bench to grab 13 rebounds and tally six points.
Vinny Lasley did a little bit of everything for The Rock as well against the Celtics with seven points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block.
Â
Jason Fowlkes (four points, three assists),
Nick Barney (two points) and
Nolen Gerald (five points, six assists, four rebounds) rounded out Slippery Rock's top performers on Wednesday.
Â

Â
The Rock's stifling defensive effort resulted in 22 Carlow turnovers and a Celtic shooting percentage of just 35.5 from the field overall.
Â
Slippery Rock remains at home when it returns to NCAA Division II competition 3 p.m. Saturday to host the University of the District of Columbia at Morrow Field House. The Rock defeated UDC on the road a year ago, 79-70.
