EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.- The Slippery Rock University field hockey team dropped its last game of the season, as it fell, 6-1, to No. 2 East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors got out to a 3-0 lead in the first half before
Kailee Krupski netted her seventh goal of the season in the 20th minute from the assist of
Megan McKay. The hosts went on to score three more goals during the remainder of regulation.
ESU outshot SRU 25-5, while holding a 13-4 advantage in penalty corners.
Carlee DuMars made 12 saves in goal for The Rock. DuMars ends her career with 19 wins, the most in Rock field hockey history.
The season finale loss drops Slippery Rock to 6-12 overall and 2-8 in the PSAC. This marked the final game in the careers of DuMars,
Courtney Bradshaw, and
Erika Rohrbach.
