SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team received goals from four different players en route to a dominant 4-0 win against Clarion University Tuesday afternoon at James Egli Field.
Slippery Rock improved to 8-4-1 overall and 7-3-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference with the win. The victory also gives SRU sole possession of fourth place in the PSAC standings. Clarion fell to 3-10-1 overall and 3-9-1 in league play with the loss.
Freshman forward
Skye Kramer, senior midfielder
Allison Harbart, senior midfielder
Caitlin Binder and freshman forward

Sophomore midfielder
Tess Keeley and sophomore defender
Haley Burkholder were both credited with assists as well in the victory.
Freshman goalkeeper
Charlotte Elrod stopped the only shot that came her way to secure her fifth solo shutout of the season. The shutout also lowered her goals against average for the season to 0.76, the third best GAA in the PSAC. Additionally, Elrod's five shutouts are the second most in the conference.
For the game, Slippery Rock held a commanding lead in both shots (24-8) and corners (4-1). Nine different players registered shots on goal for The Rock with Binder and Testa leading the way at three apiece. Sophomore defender
Maddy Tletski was close behind the duo with two shots on goal of her own.
After rattling off five shots in the opening 18 minutes of play, Slippery Rock finally beat Clarion goalkeeper Krista Mosi thanks to Kramer, who finished off a run from the left side with her second goal of the season at 19:35. Slippery Rock made it a 2-0 game in the 27th minute when Harbart took a Keeley pass and tapped the ball by Mosi for her second goal in the last three games.
Harbart's goal would be Slippery Rock's last for the next 53 minutes. Despite dominating possession through the remainder of the first half and the majority of the second half SRU was unable to score another goal until Binder dribbled through the Clarion defense from midfield all the way to the Golden Eagles' zone and deposited a shot by Mosi for SRU's third goal of the game at 83:17.
Binder's goal re-energized Slippery Rock and just four minutes later Testa closed out the game with a high shot that easily found the back of the net off of Burkholder's pass to give SRU the 4-0 win.
Mosi led Clarion with 10 saves.
Slippery Rock will now turn its attention to Saturday's match against West Chester University at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. The game will feature two of the top four teams in the conference standings and is sure to have implications on seeding for the upcoming PSAC Tournament.
Prior to the 2:30 p.m. start, Slippery Rock will recognize the senior class of Binder, Harbart and midfielder
Crysta Ganter for their contributions to the program over the last four seasons.
