HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- The 39th-ranked Slippery Rock University women's tennis team recorded its fourth straight win Sunday when it turned back Winona State (Minn.) by an 8-1 score.
The win was SRU's third in spring-break action and improved the Green and White's season record to 7-2. Winona State saw its record drop to 2-3.
The Rock won all three doubles matches and claimed the first three singles duels before Winona State got it only win in the No. 4 singles match.
SRU returns to the courts Monday for a 12-noon match against Catawba (N.C.).
