INDIANA, Pa. -- The 29th-ranked Slippery Rock University women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over hosting Indiana (Pa.) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action Sunday afternoon.
The win improved SRU's season record to 16-3 overall and 2-1 in PSASC-West action.
Headlining The Rock's win Sunday were "double-bagel" wins by senior Kayla Blackburn and junior Laura Handy in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches, respectively.
The Rock returns to action Tuesday, when it host division rival Clarion in a 7:30 p.m. match at the Westwood Tennis Club in Erie.
