SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The 26thp-ranked Slippery Rock University tennis team rolled to an 8-1win Saturday over visiting NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional rival Holy Family College.
The only Rock loss came in the No. 3 singles match, when SRU juniolr
Jessica Hilborn was forced to retire due to injury. She won the first set by a 6-3 score and had a 4-2 lead in the second set when the match came to a premature end.
The win gave SRU a 13-2 record heading into Sunday's home match vs. Millersville at Brady's Run Tennis Center in Beaver Falls.
The loss dropped Holy Family's season record to 11-6.
