SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Sophomore Chelsea Gibson scored a "double-bagel (6-0, 6-0) win in the No. 5 singles match Thursday afternoon to lead the 29th-ranked Rock to a 9-0 win over visiting West Liberty State (W. Va.) in the Green and White's first dual match of the season.

Gibson (pictured above) also teamed with senior Lara Rizzi to ring up an 8-4 win in the No. 3 doubles match.

Rizzi, meanwhile, chalked up a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 6 singles match.

The Rock returns to the courts Friday for a pair of home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" matches, 4 p.m. vs. West Chester and 8 p.m. vs. Cheyney.
