CLARION, Pa. -- The 23rd-ranked Rock clobbered Clarion by an 8-1 score Thursday afternoon to clinch a berth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs.
The win improved the Green and White's season record to 17-2 and earned them the No. 2 playoff berth from the PSAC-Western Division.
The Rock will meet the PSAC-Eastern Division champion in semifinal action of the PSAC playoffs April 25 in Bloomsburg.
Prior to that, The Rock will visit Holy Family College in Philadephia and Queens College in New York this weekend to conclude the regular-season schedule.
Highlights of Thursday's match at Clarion included a 6-2, 6-0 win by Samantah Blackburn in the No. 3 singles match and a 6-0, 6-2 win by
Jessica Hilborn in the No. 4 singles match.
