VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Beth Choike scored five goals Sunday to lead The Rock effort in a 12-10 loss to the host team in SRU's third and final game in the Villanova Invitational.

Sarah Sander and Heather Walbright each added two goals for The Rock, who will take a 3-11 record into Friday's 7:30 p.m. Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division game vs. Mercyhurst in the Morrow Field House pool. Betsy Wilson scored the other Rock goal.

SRU trailed by a 3-1 score at the end of the first period but held a 5-4 edge at halftime. Villanova then took a 9-7 lead into the final period.

In addition to their goals scored, Choike had two caused kickouts and one steal; Sander had one assist, Walbright had three assists, three caused kickouts and one steal and Wilson had two assists and one caused kickout.

Ashley Goodwill added a steal for SRU and Rock goalie Lauren Surbaugh was credited with 11 saves and one steal.
