Final Stats

Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Rock failed to take a shot Saturday afternoon and dropped a 9-0 decision to visiting Bloomsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

The second-ranked Huskies (10-1 overall, 7-1 PSAC) fired 30 shots on goal at Rock goalies Lisa Belcastro and Ashley Winkelspecht in the course of compiling a 48-0 advantage in total shots.

Belcastro recorded 17 saves in 58 minutes of action, while Winkelspecht turned away four shots in the final 12 minutes. Bloomsburg scored six goals vs. Belcastro and three vs. Winkelspecht.

Saturday's loss was the 11th in as many games this fall for The Rock and seventh in PSAC competition.

The Rock will jump from the proverbial frying pan into the fire for its next match as it travels to top-ranked Kutztown for a PSAC game on Wednesday.

Kutztown and Bloomsburg are two of five Rock foes/PSAC schools currently ranked in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II national poll.
