Bloomsburg, Pa. - The Rock's No. 1 doubles team of Kayla Blackburn and her younger sister Ssmantha lost a 6-4, 6-1 decision to California U. of Pa.'s top duo Monday morning in the "A" doubles championship match of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's East Regional tournament.

The loss denied the Blackburn sisters of a berth in the ITA Small College National Championships.

The sisters were seeking to become the third Rock doubles team to earn a berth in the ITA national event.

Jessica Bungo and Ashley Michaux placed fifth in the 2003 national competition after Kelly Anderson and Ella Reilly finished seventh in the 2002 event.
