Ed Mocarsky scored off an assist from Jeremy Deighton in the 86th minute of action Sunday afternoon to account for The Rock's only tally in a 3-1 loss to visiting East Stroudsburg on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
Sunday's loss to the defending PSAC champions came on the heels of a season-opening 2-0 loss Thursday to reigning NCAA Division II national champion Dowling College of New York and dropped SRU's season record to 0-2.
Rock freshman goalie Greg Blum recorded seven saves Sunday as ESU outshot SRU by a 32-9 margin that included a 10-3 difference in shots on goal.
The Rock and East Stroudsburg battled to a scoreless stalemate in the first 61 minutes of action before the Warriors scored three goals in the span of seven minutes.
SRU goes in search of its first win this season when it entertains PSAC rival California U. of Pa. at 8 p.m. Wednesday on DiSpirito Field.
