Philadelphia, Pa. - Raissa Weiss set a new SRU 3,000m steeplechase record and improved upon her NCAA Division II national championship provisional qualifying time during competition Thursday in the prestigious Penn Relays.

Weiss ran an 11:14.85 time that earned her a 16th-place finish in the Collegiate Women's race at historic Franklin Field.

In other action involving a Rock female student-athlete, Jennifer Harpp improved upon her NCAA provisional qualifying mark when she ran a 10:08.10 time in the Collegiate Women's 3,000m race. She finished in 24th place.
