Shippensburg, Pa. - The Rock's sisters duo of Kayla and Samantha Blackburn earned runner-up honors in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Individual Tennis Championships at Shippensburg University.

The Blackburns were the top seed in the tournament and advanced to Sunday's championship match with an 8-5 win over Kutztown's fourth-seeded duo of Das and Joerns.

In the finals, The Rock's No. 1 doubles team dropped an 8-6 decision to the second-seeded tandem of Santoro and Alekseeva from California U. of Pa.

In singles action Sunday, Kayla Blackburn -- the No. 3 seed -- lost a 6-1, 6-0 decision to the No. 2 seed and eventual champion, Helena VanEysendyk of California.

The Blackburn sisters and their Rock teammates close out the fall portion of their 2007-08 schedule with a 3:30 p.m. home match Tuesday vs. Grove City.

The Rock will enter that match with a perfect 4-0 dual-match record.
