For the second time in as many nights, The Rock had four players record double-digit kill totals Wednesday.
And, for the second time in as many nights, those efforts paved the road to victory.
The Rock overcame a sporadic first-game effort to hand visiting Point Park a 3-1 loss in non-conference action Thursday in Morrow Field House.
Point Park (28-6) took Game 1 by a 31-29 score before The Rock rolled up 30-20, 30-18 and 30-18 wins to take the match.
Leading the way for SRU (21-13) was junior Anastasia Urbanik, who had a team-high 17 kills as well as 13 digs and three blocks.
Louise Schultz, one of three Rock seniors honored during pregame ceremonies, had 14 kills, 15 assists, nine digs and four blocks; junior Jen Blasko added 12 kills and 11 digs and senior Andrea Campbell contributed 10 kills and 16 digs.
Freshman Anna Bixler chipped in 24 assists and 11 digs, while freshmen Marissa Balmert and Keira Peoples shared team-high honors with six blocks each.
The Rock is idle until Tuesday, when it will travel to California U. of Pa. to take on the top team in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division standings and NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional poll.
SRU then closes out its regular-season schedule with a 2 p.m. home game Nov. 3 against PSAC-West rival Indiana U. of Pa.
