Nick Christy scored both Rock goals Wednesday night in a 3-2 non-conference loss at Wheeling Jesuit.
The goals were the fifth and sixth of the season for Christy and moved him into the team lead in that category.
Christy's first goal of the evening came in the 41st minute of action off an assist from Joe Ross and tied the score at 1-1.
His second tally of the game came two minutes into the final half of action off an assist from Jeremy Deighton to give SRU a 2-1 lead.
Wheeling Jesuit tied the score at 2-2 on a goal in the 70th minute of action, then scored the winning goal in the 85th minute.
Rock starting goalie Brett Lelko was credited with eight saves, but yielded all three Wheeling Jesuit goals. Chris Cook replaced Lelko in net after the final goal of the night and did not face a shot on goal.
Final statistics showed the hosts with a 20-12 margin in total shots.
The Rock's next action will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, when it will host Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Kutztown in a Homecoming Weekend contest on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
SRU will take a 7-5-2 overall record and a 6-4-2 PSAC mark into Saturday's game. The Green and White are currently in fourth place in the conference standings.
