The Rock (6-8) rebounded from its disappointing loss last Wednesday to Lock Haven to bounce hosting Bloomsburg University (5-9) by a 67-52 margin Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" contest.
Nijha McNeely led the winning attack with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Amanda Nero added 11 points, Haley Gaidosh nine and Jessica Schake eight.
SRU held a five-point (30-25) halftime lead and never looked back. The Rock held a double-digit lead throughout the final 17 minutes of action.
Final statistics showed The Rock with a 38-26 advantage in rebounding and also a better field-goal shooting percentage (52-36).
The Rock travels to Mansfield for a 1 p.m. game Sunday to close out the seven-game "crossover" series.
