The Rock swept the doubles matches and won five singles matches Sunday to record an easy 8-1 win over visiting Millersville.
The win improved The Rock's season record to 10-6 as the Green and White prepare for Tuesday's match at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division and NCAA Division II East Regional rival Indiana U. of Pa.
The Rock's No. 1 doubles team of Kayla Blackburn and Ashley Michaux won an 8-0 decision, the No. 2 team of Kelli Parnell and Sarah Karagianis won an 8-4 decision and the No. 3 team of Lara Rizzi and Cristina Rhodes won an 8-1 decision.
In singles action, Blackburn -- who did not lose a game Sunday -- won her No.1 match by "double-bagel" 6-0, 6-0 scores and Michaux won a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 2 before Parnell dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision in the No. 3 match.
Rizzi won a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 4; Karagianis won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5 and Erika McKenna won 7-6 (3), 7-5 at No. 6 to round out the results.
Blackburn, the No. 5-ranked player in the regiona according to Fila, is now 14-2 in singles matches -- 9-1 at the No. 1 spot -- in her first collegiate campaign. She and Michaux (8-2 in singles, No. 8 in region) are 8-2 and ranked third in the region as a doubles team.
