Results

Slippery Rock, Pa. - Kayla Blackburn and Ashley Michaux continued their reign over opposing players Sunday to lead The Rock to a 5-4 victory over visiting Charleston (W. Va.).

Blackburn and Michaux won an 8-3 decision in the No. 1 doubles match before each of them recorded a singles victory.

Blackburn recorded her eighth successive No. 1 singles victory with a 6-7, 6-2, 6-0 triumph, while Michaux won a 7-5, 6-0 decision in the No. 2 match.

Kelli Parnell won a 6-3, 6-2 decision in the No. 3 singles match and Sarah Karagianis won a 7-6, 6-3 decision at No. 5 singles to round out The Rock's point producers.

SRU, which owns a 9-5 dual-match record this season, will return to the courts on Thursday; The Rock will host Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and NCAA Division II East Regional rival California U. of Pa. in a 3:30 p.m. match.
