Rock drops first game of spring trip to Assumption 8-0

Ft. Myers, Fla. - The Rock softball team opened up its spring trip to Florida with a 8-0 loss to Assumption College in six innings.

The visitors plated seven runs in the first three innings and added a run in the sixth inning, in securing the win.

The Rock's bats were silenced during the game, with the team's lone hit coming off of a Stacey Rhoades single.

Jenna Frieling picked up the loss on the mound, her second of the season. Lisa Getgen pitched four innings of relief, striking out two.

The loss drops The Rock's record to 1-2 on the season.

The Rock will look to even its record when it takes on Saint Joseph's in its next game of spring break action.
