Oct. 21, 2006

Final Stats

Bloomsburg, Pa. - Jaimi Wilson scored a goal and had an assist Saturday to lead The Rock to a 2-1 win over hosting Bloomsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" action.

The win gives SRU an 11-5-1 overall record heading into Tuesday's 2 p.m. PSAC quarterfinal playoff game vs. Lock Haven on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

Wilson assisted on Nici Spamer's goal at the 10:12 mark of the first half, then scored what proved to be the game-winning tally off an assist from Kristin Mikolajczyk with just over four minutes left to play in the game.

Bloomsburg narrowed the final margin to one goal with a score at the 87:45 mark.

The Rock outshot Bloomsburg by a 17-6 margin and had a 13-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Rock goalie Lauren McManus recorded four saves in the game.

Saturday's win avenged a 0-0 double-overtime tie The Rock had to settle for in the teams' first meeting Sept. 21 in Slippery Rock.
