Clarion fell to 10-8 overall, 1-2 in the PSAC-West.

The Rock will host Shippensburg at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

SRU benefitted from an icy-cold foul shooting effort by the Golden Eagles. The top free-throw-shooting team in the conference prior to the game, Clarion sank only four of 13 charity tosses against The Rock.

The Rock was only slightly better at 4-for-9 and 44.4% from the foul line.

SRU led by nine points, 26-17, at halftime and enjoyed a double-digit advantage for most of the second half.

An 11-0 Rock run during a five-minute period late in the game pushed the margin to 20 points, 55-35, with 2:10 left.

Clarion's point total was the lowest allowed by a Rock women's basketball team since the second game of the 2001-02 season, when SRU held Erskine to only 38 points.
