Final Stats

California, Pa. - The Rock, after being held scoreless for three successive games, broke out of the drought and scored a season-high three goals Wednesday afternoon while holding hosting California U. of Pa. scoreless in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action.

The win improved The Rock's overall record to 3-2-2 and upped its PSAC-West mark to 2-0-2. California is now 2-6-1 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

All-conference/all-region midfielder Jaimi Wilson scored what proved to be the game-winning goal off an assist from Danielle Cooper in the 40th minute to give The Rock a 1-0 lead.

Martina Hall scored off an assist from Lauren Steele in the 80th minute to expand The Rock lead to 2-0.

Freshman Mallory Neubert scored the final goal off an assist from classmate Megan Swoger in the final minute of play.

Freshman goalie Jen McCormick and The Rock defense recorded their fourth save of the season. McCormick was not credited with any saves; The Rock outshot California by a 20-5 margin.

The Rock returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday, when it will host Millersville in a PSAC interdivisional "crossover" game on James W. Egli Soccer Field.

SRU returns to PSAC-West action on Tuesday, when it will travel to Clarion for a 7 p.m. contest.
