Ed Mocarsky converted an assist from David Flamer in the 75th minute of action Wednesday afternoon to account for the winning goal as The Rock evened its overall record at 1-1 with a 2-1 win over hosting Bloomsburg (0-2, 0-1).
The win in the opening game of The Rock's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference season came four days after SRU dropped its season opener by the same 2-1 score at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Justin Hollm scored The Rock's first goal in the 11th minute of action off an assist from Nick Christy.
Bloomsburg tied the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 25th minute of action and that's the way the first half ended.
Pat Passewitz recorded four saves for The Rock, which was outshot by an 8-6 margin.
The Rock's next game is Saturday, when it will host PSAC foe East Stroudsburg at noon on James W. Egli Soccer Field.
