Ashley Michaux won the decisive No. 1 singles match to give The Rock a 5-4 win over visiting Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Shippensburg.
Michaux won the first set 6-3, then lost the second set 7-5 before she reversed that score to win the third set by a 7-5 margin.
Saturday's win improved SRU's season record to 5-9 as it prepares for a Monday home match vs. West Liberty State at 2:30 p.m.
The Rock men (4-7) will also host WLSC on Monday.
Michaux and partner Kate Ingram won the No. 1 doubles match by an 8-4 score to pick up SRU's first point on Saturday.
The No. 2 doubles team of Ashley Greene and Erika McKenna also won its match to give The Rock a 2-1 edge heading into singles action.
Greene won her No. 2 singles match and McKenna was victorious at No. 4 to set the stage for Michaux's match-winning victory.
