Ashley Michaux recorded wins in her singles and doubles matches Monday afternoon to highlight a losing effort as The Rock dropped a 5-4 decision to visiting West Liberty State (W. Va,).
Michaux and partner Kate Ingram won an 8-2 decision in the No. 1 singles match to start the day's action.
Michaux then won the No. 1 singles match in three sets, 5-7, 6-0, 6-0. She now owns a 15-3 singles record this season.
The Rock's No. 2 doubles team of Ashley Greene and Erika McKenna won a 8-3 decision and Heather Webb won a 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 decision in the No. 5 singles match to account for the other Rock points.
Four of the six singles matches went the maximum three sets, with each team recording two wins in the extended action.
Monday's loss dropped SRU's record to 5-10.
The Rock returns to action on Wednesday with a 3 p.m. match at Clarion.
