Hilton Head Island, S.C. - The doubles team of Ashley Michaux and Ashley Greene lost a closely-contested 9-7 doubles match and Michaux lost her No. 1 singles match in three sets as SRU lost the first game of its spring trip to South Carolina, 9-0 Saturday morning.

The Rock's No. 1 doubles team lost by a 9-7 margin. The No. 2 tandem of Kate Ingram and Erika McKenna lost by a score of 8-5.

After splitting the first two sets of her singles match, Michaux came up just short in her battle to overcome a 9-4 deficit in the super breaker set, losing 10-8.

The Rock's second through sixth singles players lost in straight sets.

SRU will attempt to get back in the win column when it takes on Holy Family for a 4 p.m. contest Sunday.
