The Rock women's basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, cruising to a 59-40 victory over previously unbeaten East Stroudsburg in PSAC "crossover" action Saturday afternoon.
Leading the way for The Rock was Amanda Chojnacki with 12 points, and KellyAnn Staudinger added 10 points in the win.
Amanda Nero netted seven points while Amber McFeely, Kristen Bonner, and Jessica Schake fired in six points each to help secure The Rock victory.
Chojnacki also had a team-high seven rebounds for The Rock, while Staudinger grabbed four boards.
McFeely dished out 12 assists in the game and added four rebounds.
The win improves The Rock's record to 4-3 on the year, while East Stroudsburg falls to 4-1.
The Rock will return to action at 1 p.m. Sunday, when it hosts another "crossover" match against Mansfield, owner of a 4-1 record after sustaining its first loss of the season, 61-57, at Edinboro on Saturday.
