Frankovich scored the first points of the game on a layup 12 seconds into action and gave The Rock a 2-0 lead before Edinboro scored seven unanswered points.
The Scots held a 12-point, 32-20, lead at halftime and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the final 20 minutes of action.
The Rock trimmed the margin to 10 points on a pair of occasions in the final two minutes.
SRU will host Lock Haven in a PSAC-West game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, then entertains division rival Clarion next Wednesday, Jan. 26, in a 6 p.m. game.
