Lauren Steele and Sarah Arsenault scored two goals each Tuesday night to lead The Rock to a 5-0 rout of visiting Clarion on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
The Rock, newly ranked fourth in the latest national Division II poll, improved its record to 9-0-1 on the season, 5-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) competition.
Jaimi Wilson scored the game's first goal, her fourth of the season, in the 10th minute of the game.
Steele's fourth and fifth goals of the season came in the 15th and 28th minutes to put the game out of reach.
Arsenault's goals in the second half extended her scoring streak to 10. She also had an assist Tuesday night. SRU's all-time leading scorer has 15 goals and three assists (33 points) in 2004.
Goalkeeper Vanessa Gogates earned her first collegiate victory.
The Rock outshot Clarion by a 22-4 margin.
The Rock begins a span of four consecutive away contests next Wednesday when it takes on Lock Haven at 4 p.m.
