Freshman running back Corey Manfull rushed for 129 yards on 18 carries and scored one touchdown Saturday night to lead Slippery Rock University to a 49-14 win over visiting Fairmont State College in a non-conference football game.
The win was The Rock's second in as many weeks against a West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival and improved SRU's record to 2-2.
Fairmont State lost for the second straight week to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival and fell to 1-2.
Wendell Johnson rushed for 100 yards on 14 carries for Fairmont State.
The Rock outgained FSC by a 409-211 margin behind a 271-120 rushing advantage.
