Meadville, Pa. - The Rock men's and women's tennis teams suffered losses in their opening matches Tuesday at Allegheny College.

The women's team lost 5-4; the men lost 9-0.

Ashley Michaux defeated Lisa Coleman 6-3, 6-1, and Ali Steriopulos defeated Kassie Foster 6-1, 6-4 to lead The Rock in singles action.

Michaux and No. 1 doubles partner Kate Ingram and the No. 2 doubles team of Steriopulos and Ali Walk recorded wins in doubles action.

Both Rock teams head to Kutztown Friday to compete in a three-day Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Crossover event.
