Junior forward Stacey Green's game-high 16 points and seven rebounds paced The Rock to a 64-48 win Wednesday night over visiting Bloomsburg (4-3) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference interdivisional game at Morrow Field House.
Sophomore shooting guard Kristen Bonner chipped in 15 points and five rebounds, while sophomore point guard Amber McFeely handed out 10 assists.
The win was The Rock's second straight and third in the last four outings and improved SRU's season record to 4-5. The Rock seeks to reach the .500 mark on Thursday when it hosts East Stroudsburg (2-5) in another PSAC "crossover" game at Morrow Field House.
The Rock won the game "going away" as it scored 15 of the final 18 points in the contest. SRU led by only four, 49-45, with 6:10 left to play.
SRU led by five points, 30-25, at halftime and enjoyed an 11-point, 38-27, advantage with 14:38 left in the game before Bloomsburg clawed back to narrow the gap to two, 40-38, with 11:39 left. The Rock answered that Huskies rally with a 24-10 run to put the game away.
